Why is the paint not covering properly?

Poor hiding can be caused by excessive thinning, spreading the paint too far, insufficient coats, strong colour contrast underneath, an unsuitable tint base or uneven substrate absorption. Apply the recommended film build and use the correct primer/base where needed.
