Why is paint flaking from precast concrete?

Precast concrete may contain mould-release oils, laitance, dust or other contaminants that reduce coating adhesion. The surface must be sound, clean and properly prepared before painting. Remove release agents and weak surface material using a suitable preparation method, then prime and coat with a system intended for concrete.
