Why is my roller spraying tiny paint droplets everywhere?

Roller splatter is often caused by using the wrong roller cover, overloading the roller, rolling too fast, excessive thinning or using a very coarse roller on a smooth surface. Use a roller suited to the coating and substrate, load it evenly and apply with controlled pressure and speed.
