Wrinkling can occur when the surface of a coating skins over while the material underneath is still soft, or when a second coat is applied too soon over an incompletely dried first coat. Heavy film build, incompatible solvents and cool drying conditions can worsen the problem. Let the coating cure, remove or sand defective material and recoat within the correct recoat window.
