Why does paint peel from concrete?

Common causes include moisture moving through the concrete, laitance or dust, oil contamination, an unsuitable coating, or painting before the slab was sufficiently dry. Remove the failed coating, identify and correct the cause, prepare the concrete properly and then apply a compatible floor system.
