Why does freshly painted furniture or a door get imprint marks?

Paint can feel touch-dry before it has developed enough hardness for contact. If furniture, doors or objects are pressed against the film too soon, they can leave print or pressure marks. Allow adequate hard-dry or cure time, especially in cool or humid conditions, before putting painted surfaces into service.
