Why do I have visible roller or stipple marks after painting?

Visible roller texture can result from the wrong roller pile, overloading the roller, repeatedly working paint after it has started to dry, or poor flow and levelling. Once dry, sand or smooth the affected area where necessary and recoat using the correct roller and a consistent wet-edge technique.
