What tools should I use with solvent-based paint?

Use brushes and rollers that are rated for solvent-based coatings, because some foams and adhesives can soften or swell in strong solvents. Mohair or other solvent-resistant rollers are commonly used for smooth enamel finishes. Clean equipment with the thinner or cleaner specified for that coating rather than with water.
