What paint should I use on a rusted steel gate?

Remove loose rust, scale, dirt and grease first. For a conventional system, prime the prepared steel with the appropriate ACRO anti-corrosive metal primer and then apply a compatible topcoat such as Quick Drying Enamel. Where a suitable direct-to-metal system is specified, follow that product’s preparation and coat requirements.
