Can I use automotive hardener with another 2K paint?

Only if the coating manufacturer specifically approves that hardener for the product. Do not assume that automotive, polyurethane and epoxy hardeners are interchangeable. Using the wrong hardener can cause poor cure, loss of adhesion, soft films or premature failure.
