Wrinkling

A rippled or shrivelled film surface caused by uneven drying or curing through the coating thickness. It is common when oxidatively drying coatings are applied too thickly or recoated at the wrong time. Diagnosis should focus on the root cause rather than simply recoating the visible defect.
