Peeling

Loss of adhesion causing a coating to detach from the substrate or an underlying layer. Common causes include contamination, moisture, poor preparation, incompatible coatings or weak substrate surfaces. Diagnosis should focus on the root cause rather than simply recoating the visible defect.
